About Me
Hi, I’m Oriol! a Barcelona-raised civil engineer, specialized in water resources and coastal engineering, with a passion for designing solutions that make a real difference in our communities. I currently work at the Area Metropolitana de Barcelona, where I’m part of a team tackling a wide range of projects—from enhancing public spaces to urban planning and addressing the pressing challenges of climate change. While my work focuses on civil engineering, I’m always exploring ways to integrate sustainability and innovation into my projects.
When it comes to personal passions, travelling and adventure are at the heart of my life. My partner and I dream of owning a camper van to explore the world, hiking, surfing, and discovering hidden corners of nature. Whether it’s a short weekend getaway or a long road trip, we love embracing the outdoors and the freedom it brings.
I’m also a self-proclaimed nerd who finds joy in gaming and painting Warhammer miniatures, a creative outlet that combines strategy, art, and fun (and it’s a perfect plan for when it’s raining outside).
A big believer in self-growth, I’ve built my life around continuous learning and productivity. I use Notion as the cornerstone of my personal and professional organization—it’s where I track my goals, manage projects, and keep my ideas alive— my second brain. I’m constantly refining my digital systems to live and work more efficiently while leaving space for creativity and exploration.
